5 things that $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot can buy
No doubt, many will be eagerly awaiting the drawing at 10:59 p.m. ET Wednesday.
But of course, even $1.5 billion pales in comparison to the fortunes of titans like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. In fact, a sole winner of the jackpot wouldn't even makeForbes' 2015 list of the 400 richest Americans. Beer scion Richard Yuengling Jr. garnered the last spot, with a net worth of $1.7 billion.
Still, if you're the lucky 1 in 292 million to nab the grand prize, you'll find $1.5 billion can go quite far. To provide some context, here are a few examples of what those winnings add up to.
1)Afleet of Gulfstream G650 jets. Those plush private planes cost $65 million apiece. But with your lottery winnings, you can scoop up 23 of them.

2)The gross domestic product of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. You could match the $1.3 billion GDP of those island nations, and buy the Playboy Mansion with your remaining $200 million.

3) A parking lot full of Tesla Model S electric cars. These eco-friendly cars cost at least $71,100 apiece. So consider taking your fortune and buying one for each of your 21,097 closest friends.

4)A stay at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Hotel in Dubai. The royal two-bedroom suite is going for $35,444 a night in late January. But hey, you can afford it. With that $1.5 billion, you can stay for 42,320 nights. Hope you're planning on a long life: That's 116 years.

5) A flotilla of "super yachts." According to Towergate Insurance, a 100-meter-long yacht that can cruise at 25 knots and has an onboard staff of 50 costs roughly $275 million on average. You could buy a mini-armada of five, hop aboard your seaborne palace and sail off into the sunset.
