Today's haiku

So I have learned, as I was turned down by one website, that my haiku goes against American practice. I also learned that some stick to the 5-7-5 count. I have heard there is more focus on 3-5-3 syllable count. I don't know, but Here we go:

Haiku hides.

Bitter wind bites hard

Across face.

Ant crawls fast.

Wide, the empty path.

Work still waits.
