Tanka and Haiku for the March Challenge-Effervescence (29th) and Writing (30th)

The lonely dog waits
For its master to get home.
Sad, the eyes of one
Who misses its true best friend.
Rapture upon arrival.

The computer age
Has taken over our lives.
Yet, still time to write.

Missed yesterday's posting, so wanted to make it up!

Nice Tanka and Haiku, buddha. Regarding the tanka, I feel 'misses his friend' would sound better. As per my understanding of tanka, upper and lower half of tanka should stand alone by itself. For the bottom half to stand alone, 'his' would be better as bottom half does not mention it is a dog.

I agree about the "his". Nice thoughts, both poems.

Thanks, but what if the dog was a female, just saying.
